A twenty second exposure of Comet Hale-Bopp on Kodak Tmax p3200 B&W film,
shot at 5,500 feet on Mt. Palomar around 8:30PM, March 29 1997.
The bright line slicing through the comet tail is a meteor trail!
This was a very fortunate shot indeed! Somewhere, someone else must
have had an exposure in progress. An incredible moment.
This is the last frame of The Comet Tour. The final frame, is an attempt
at Ansel Adams, and is probably as close as I'll get in uniqueness.
